Grace is a Seattle-based graphic designer with a background in human-centered design.

I have been working as a designer since 2016. My work is a reflection of my interdisciplinary training, with an emphasis on human-centered practices, research, and design thinking. In addition to visual communication design, I have trained in both illustration and photography, and appreciate the depth they bring to my projects. I recently became certified in change management strategies, which has helped me create supportive belonging in environments of change.

I am always eager to learn from others, gain new perspectives, and look for silver linings. In my free time I enjoy painting, hiking, and trying new recipes.

Thoughtful curiosity is where good design begins. Listening closely to what is said and unsaid. Observing body language. Asking questions. Getting to the heart of a situation makes building a better solution easier.
Design thinking and user research are just two of the tools in my toolbox for building an accurate portrait of the user and their needs. Research is essential. Equally important is the ability to empathize with each person involved: from end user to stakeholder.
Better Together. The best work is a result of robust and interconnected teams. Strong collaboration means understanding and learning from teammates' perspectives, and striving to set up others for success.
